Happy Father's Day Tyson!

This Father's Day we were lucky enough to spend it with both of our dads who we love and admire. Tyson is such a great father to both of our kids, and we are very lucky to have him in our lives! Jayde adores him and I'm sure Colt will soon enough also. I feel so blessed to have Tyson there to help raise our beautiful children, and support our family.

Happy Father's Day!!

First family picture since the one at hospital.
Gotta take advantage of having someone else there to take one of all of us.

The Drags

Tyson's grandpa has been going to drag races for years, in fact, he used to drag race his car down State Street back in high school. For years he tried to take Tyson to the drag races, but he always had other things going on with school. However, once we moved to St. George, Ty was able to start attending and it is now a great tradition that he loves to have with his grandpa. The only tradition they need to break is the fact that they always come back sunburned -- at least each year it is a sunburn in different areas -- so at least they are learning a little bit.

Tyson's favorite event are Top Fuels. He says it is amazing when they hit the gas. He says you can actually see the air ripple and you can feel the vibrations go through your body. In the picture on the left you can see a Funny Car lighting up its tires.

Let's just say that Tyson is already looking forward to next April.

celebrating the hubby's birthday

{baby's makes this face a lot lately when she's observing everything around her}

{Ute Fan binkie that she doesn't like (will just play with while I'm changing her) - it took like 10 pictures to get this one with it still in her mouth because she kept spitting it out}

{some b-day gifts for the b-day boy}

{she's thinking, "um mom... not now please!"}

{we bought a cold stone peanut butter ice-cream cake which was delicious! I also made cupcakes for friends who came over}

{jayde being jayde - happy go lucky just playin' in her bouncer at the party}

{playin with the baby later that night when everyone went home, it's interesting how early people leave when they have kids to get to bed!}

{Jayde LOVES playing with her daddy!}

Happy Happy Birthday, from all of us to YOU

It's Tyson's birthday today - a whopping 28. It seems like just yesterday he was 27. It's amazing how much time flies when you're having fun! So Tyson - I hope you have the best birthday EVER, and you should, now that we have an adorable little baby girl who loves it when you come home (and I'm not talking about myself). You are such a great husband and father, and I appreciate that you work so hard so we can have everything we need. Jayde and I love you so much!

Children's Parade

Tyson was in the St. George Children's Parade because he is part of the Exchange Club which allows him to volunteer and help out with the community. It is actually a really small parade but was fun to take Jayde to watch all the floats go by with all the kids in them.

Heeere comes Tyson!

Holding the flag her dad gave her as he walked by.

Eating at 25 Main for lunch the next day (love that place!)

One thing I love about my husband is... (part 1)

...not only that he washes dishes....

like...

a lot,

but you can see the other reason in this picture. Can you see?!
Wait for it...

wait for it....
There - here's a close-up, can you tell? He ALWAYS sticks his tongue out when he is concentrating on something... Always never fail! It's so funny. I'm not sure what he's trying to concentrate on while washing the dishes, but I'm sure they turned out spiffy and clean. I'd like to see if he was doing it while taking the bar exam. The minute Jayde came out she slept with her tongue out, and we know exactly where she got that cute personality trait from.
This is the face he made after I kept trying to snap another one closer-up. He refused to let me take another one of him sticking his tongue out. Oh, that's also something I love about him - the fact that he's stubborn just like muah.

Love you hun!

The First Father's Day

Tyson's first father's day was spent while we were up in Salt Lake. I made him a knotted Utah blanket, and Jayde got him a onesie that says "I Drool Crimson" as well as a pacifier that says "Go Utes" for when we go to the Utah games this year. (I like doing themed gifts).

Tyson, you have been such a great dad to Jayde. Even though she can't talk yet, I can tell by the way she watches you wherever you go and turns to look at you when you're talking on the other side of the room that she adores you. It was so fun when she was just a few days old and you came home from work - the second you talked she stopped everything and looked right in your direction to stare straight at you. I love watching you play with her and seeing her face light up cracking a huge toothless smile. I'm excited to show her the world with you, and am so grateful I have you by my side raising our little girl. You work so hard to provide us with everything we need and we appreciate everything you do for us. The adventure of parenthood have been very fun so far and I am glad I am sharing all of these new precious moments with you!

Love you bunches,
Your Wifey

27 Years Young

This post is a little belated, but Tyson turned 27 earlier this month! We celebrated with the fam while they were in town the weekend before, and went to Anasazi down here in St. George. on the actual day (just the two of us). Supposedly this place is known for their meat, and it was cool because you could get the meat and cook it right in front of you these rocks brought to the states from Australia. They heat these rocks in a kiln for 24 hours before you cook your meat on them. It was very good! If any of you know Tyson, you will know this would be his dinner of choice for his b-day. If you're wondering if he enjoyed it, just look at the last picture of him enjoying the simple moment of a huge chunk of meat just ready to be eaten.

I'm so lucky to be married to such an amazing man. He treats me like a queen, and is my perfect match. It has been a blast having all of these adventures together throughout our marriage, living and traveling all over the US. We never knew we would end up in St. George, but it has been wonderful so far! I am so excited to start on this new adventure of being parents together. He is going to be a great dad, and it will be fun seeing him completely wrapped around her little finger!

Say WHAT?!

"They'd better win on this field goal because we have Desperate Housewives starting in 10 minutes!"

Out of the words of my husband while watching the Minnesota vs New Orleans game just now (to see who goes to the super bowl). It's tied, and he doesn't want to miss his show :0)

...For the record - I didn't even remember Desperate Housewives was on tonight. THIS is the man I am married to... gotta love him!

Yearly Broncos Game...again

Tyson was able to go to a SECOND Broncos Game this year but this time with his friend Dustin. It was cold, but not too cold which I was worried about because it was November in Denver. They seemed to have a blast having a guys' weekend, with lots of male bonding sports time. We will see where the Broncos game ends up being next year. Supposedly they have one every year in London which would be awesome, but that will probably be down the road a little more!

St. George here we come!

As most of you know Tyson was laid off a few months ago from the firm here in Salt Lake (clients weren't paying). Since then he has been super motivated and determined to find another job quickly especially with the baby on the way and all. With this legal job market it was difficult because most firms aren't hiring. However, he just accepted a job offer from a REALLY great firm in St. George, UT (about 4 hours south of Salt Lake) called Snow Jensen and Reece. He starts December 1st which we are both excited about. I was even able to meet with the attorneys there and they all seemed very honest and genuinely great people which I'm glad about. I know he will do very well there, and I'm SUPER excited that we will be living in the warm weather of St. George!

We are going to be moving out there this Monday which is crazy; and we are spending Thanksgiving with Tyson's family down there as well. I think we are both getting used to the fact that we will be able to look for a house again, and that the house hunting will be in St. George instead of Salt Lake. Nonetheless we are very excited for this move, and thank you all for your thoughts and prayers for us and make sure to come visit!!

my husband....the attorney

October 20th we witnessed Tyson raise his right hand and state the oath to be an attorney...well we tried to see him but he was standing in the front so there were a bunch of people obscuring our view, but it was a cool experience none-the-less, and man that oath was long! I think the neatest part was when they declared them attorney's and then they all had to sign their lives away pretty much. Oh, and they gave them all stress balls at some point heh. I guess it's just a sign of things to come. It was fun having family there including both sets of grandparents. Jessi even came up for the day from St. George to be there (thanks girl!).

...so now my husband is officially an attorney and I'm so proud of him for all of his hard work these past three adventure-filled years...

NOW BRING ON THE LAWYER JOKES!!!

birthday, football, and BAR PASSING

Glen (Tyson's grandpa) turned 80 in August so we went to celebrate with family which was fun.

We've had the opportunity to go to quite a few...well all of the Utah home games with Tyson's family. Thanks parents!! They are always a blast, especially since we haven't lost since we've been. Here's us with his cousin Ashley.

..and TYSON PASSED THE BAR!!! We actually found this out last month, but were very excited about it! I had no doubts that he would pass but he was constantly worrying about it. I'm glad we finally got the results so he would be non-stressed again :0)

Yearly Broncos Game

Last month I (Tyson) was able to fly to Denver and go to a Broncos game with my friend Troy. I've been to the stadium before but wanted to take some pictures for Laura to see because she's never been.

Shannon Sharpe parachuted in to be accepted into the Ring of Fame which was awesome. My friend Sean (another avid fan who usually goes to our yearly guys' game) wasn't able to make it to that game last minute, which was sad because Shannon Sharpe was his favorite player. I made sure to get it on video for him to see later.

Tyson and Troy

So far all is well in Bronco Nation. They are a perfect 4 and O whenever I attend their games (knock on wood).
