Tyson's grandpa has been going to drag races for years, in fact, he used to drag race his car down State Street back in high school. For years he tried to take Tyson to the drag races, but he always had other things going on with school. However, once we moved to St. George, Ty was able to start attending and it is now a great tradition that he loves to have with his grandpa. The only tradition they need to break is the fact that they always come back sunburned -- at least each year it is a sunburn in different areas -- so at least they are learning a little bit.
Tyson's favorite event are Top Fuels. He says it is amazing when they hit the gas. He says you can actually see the air ripple and you can feel the vibrations go through your body. In the picture on the left you can see a Funny Car lighting up its tires.
Let's just say that Tyson is already looking forward to next April.
