more of Mickey

Disneyland day 2 was completely from day 1.
Jayde went on a ton of rides and totally loved them!
And (let's be honest) we loved taking her on them just as much (maybe more).
It's too bad she won't remember this trip... at least we have pictures!

Look how excited Darryl & Matt look before embarking on Small World?!
Oh the ANTICIPATION!!

Jayde loved it, and sat there in awe the whole time.
It really wan't as bad as I remember,
(and luckily the song didn't stay in my head all day like it used to).

The Submarine ride (now the Finding Nemo ride) was my ultimate favorite when I was little.

Matterhorn was the WORST and freaked me out every time. My parents made me go on that ride and I closed my eyes the entire time except for once - and that happened to be when the huge monster with red eyes was lunging at you!
Let's just say I enjoy those rides much more now....
and hopefully Jayde will too when she is tall enough.

We were newbies for Robin Hood. Very short, but fun none-the-less.

Ok so Disney was totally ahead of his time on this - he have a whole nursing/changing area for babies which included:
  • Different closed-off stalls with cushy chairs you could sit and nurse.
  • 6 high chairs where you could feed your baby.
  • A bunch of changing 'bed' type things where you could change your babies diaper.
  • A pristine-clean tub thing where you could rise off your baby in case they had a blow-out.
  • A couple miniature toilets for kids to use.
  • An area where you could buy formula, diapers, wipes, and anything else you can think of for your baby in case you need it - with a microwave in case your baby wants their formula warm.
Isn't that amazing?! I was in awe right when we walked in. Jayde loved being fed while in the high chair and I loved that I could give her baby food without her getting the stroller all messy. I think that was my favorite thing about the whole day (aside from Minnie).

Seriously awesome!
Let's just say we were all in a great mood after that little pit stop.

The Jungle ride - Jayde wasn't so sure about the piranhas spitting water on you at the end.

She was even able to go on Pirates.
That one made me the most nervous because of the dips, but she still had fun.

Loving their pineapple that has honey on it.

We found Minnie! It was 12:30 at night, and Jayde was supposed to be taking her nap.
I peeked into the stroller and she was awake - HALLELUJAH!
We had just been saying how lame it was that they don't walk around the park.
This was the only time we saw her - or any mouse for that matter - all day.

I was so excited that Jayde would meet her I almost started tearing up.

Minnie Kisses

The next day we went to the beach and tide-pools.
There were tons of starfish, sea anemones and all sorts of creatures.
Jayde didn't really like the sand but at least she didn't eat it.

The trip was amazing and we are so lucky to be able to go spend time with family. This New Year's we will spend a week in Mexico with my whole side of the family so we are excited about that as well. Jayde loved Disneyland and even though she won't remember it, we will. Thanks again to Darryl and Teri for taking us - we had a BLAST!
