The second day at the beach house we were determined to make a sandcastle. Armed with full length shovels, the boys were ready to dig. This wasn't going to be your average little dinky run-of-the-mill sandcastle but a huge fun elaborate sandcastle. Below is what we ended up with. I think it turned out pretty neat and the kids loved it.

The boys then decided to make a moat around the sandcastle, but not just any run-of-the-mill moat; they wanted one that connected to the ocean so the seawater could run from the waves to then go to the castle. It took awhile to dig, but turned out perfect. It was interesting because when they dug the whole thing the water was somehow running from the castle to the ocean... that threw everyone for a loop.
It was a lot of fun spending time with my family at the beach house, and was fun to have a lot of them meet Jayde for the first time. We played lots of games at night when we weren't at the beach, made cinnamon rolls, and just enjoyed being together.

Brandon never got to see the sandcastle - when he saw the pic he was like Whoa! That's the sandcastle you made! I could see envy in his eyes! haha! Thanks for posting!
