A Napa Valley Christmas: part 1

Tyson and I spent this Christmas with the Seymour side of the family in Napa Valley, California. It was gorgeous up there, and tons of fun to see everyone. My parents and Jenny still live in Mexico but they flew up and we all stayed at their house in Napa. Corinne, Brandon and my cousins Rebecca & Walter and their three girls all live at that house currently.

Usually we spend New Years with my family but this year Corinne was pregnant and due right around that time and we wanted to see her baby when she had him. One of the first days we were up there she was having back pain and while at the hospital her water broke so they admitted her which she was very happy about. I think that was a Sunday...anyways we went to see her after Church and she was doing really well. That night we drove to Sacramento to spend time with my grandparents on my mom's side and the cousins which was a lot of fun (I wish I had pics).
Monday morning Lincoln Xavier Cunningham was born. When they were trying to get him out the chord was wrapped around his neck and ruptured so he lost a lot of fluids. Luckily they were able to give him a blood transfusion and bring him home from the NICU a few days later. That day we toured El Castello di Amorosa, which is an awesome winery that the owner built like an old school castle and took some fun pictures. They even had non-alcoholic wine to taste and it was very good. My bro and sister-in-law with their two adorable kids.
Thomas being Thomas After the castle we drove around and ate lunch at this BBQ place that was decent. I'm still not really a fan of BBQ Sauce which Tyson can't understand...hey he's the one that is insanely picky with food so I get to have a few things here and there that I don't like right? We went to see the California's Old Faithful Geyser which we thought was going to be a lot more exciting. But it wasn't. They also had these fainting goats which were going to be cool to see. Well apparently when the first settlers came across them, the goats would faint all the time when they were startled. The ones we saw didn't do it anymore which was also a bummer.
Here's a video, it's pretty hilarious:

The next day we went to the Exploratorium in San Francisco. Tyson learned a lot about taking turns because it was PACKED with kids. Here is my dad reading the last of the Twilight books.
I'm higher than he is ;)
This was a really good hamburger joint up there called Squeeze Inn. Man those were good burgers. After we finished Thomas shot his toothpick that holds everything together into the top of the ceiling so it would stick. There are thousands up there! That is my kind of place.
To be continued....note - you will be able to see my absolute awesomeness in the next post. You won't want to miss it.
