We decided one weekend that it would be fun to go get our kicks at Route 66. Well, not really, we just wanted to go visit Jessi and Ryan. Laura and I had never been to Kingman, Arizona, and it was not what we were expecting....it was better.

I think Jayde was a little confused that we were driving somewhere but both her parents were sitting right next to her. It was really nice to go places and not have to drive....thanks Ryan. Jayde really loved the bumps as we went into the mountains - they put her right to sleep.

Ryan took us up in the mountains right outside of town to go look at his tree-cameras to see what game had come by lately. It was beautiful up there even though we did not see any wildlife other than what was on the cameras.

Once we had done everything there was to do in Kingman without being arrested (jk), we went into Laughlin to do some shopping. Jayde had a blast as you can see.

No one really know what Ryan was doing here but at least he tried.

Kaitlin (I hope I spelled that right) decided, after a little (or a lot) of convincing to get her ears pierced. After the initial shock, she did really great and looked very cute.

Good thing Ryan learned how to change a flat tire as part of his training for the Arizona Highway Patrol.

Jessi always has such a FUN time when she gets to be around Jayde. It seems that Jayde really likes here too.....hopefully we can get together more often.

As part of the drive, you drove over Hoover Dam and could see the new bridge being built. Now that it is open, it will cut a lot of time off the drive, but it is sure a long ways down!!

On the way home from Kingman we had the pleasure to stop and be part of Zach and Christy blessing Ainsley Alexandria Takos. Above are both moms and daughters. Hopefully these girls can grow up and be close friends.

A picture of our family with the Takos family. As you can see, Jayde and Ainsley are already trying to communicate with each other. We better not get them cell phones or we could have some major billing issues.
